Realme has announced that the Realme 9 Pro series will see the daylight in India on February 16 at 1:30 PM. And we are expecting the launch of at least two phones viz. the Realme 9 Pro and the Realme 9 Pro+. The company has also created a dedicated event page to tease the key features of the top-end model. According to it, the device will come with a 50MP Sony IMX sensor, Dimensity 920 5G chipset, among other things. Now, we also have come across some leaks and rumours that divulge more details about the device. So, let’s take a look at the device and those deets.
Realme 9 Pro+: Here’s What to ExpectLet’s begin with the design. Realme 9 Pro+ flaunts a Chameleon-Esque Light Shift Design. Well, this sounds similar to the Vivo V23 Pro, which was yet another colour-changing phone that had launched a month back. Realme says on the Sunrise Blue variant of both the Pro models, the blue colour would shift to red whence exposed to even 5 seconds of direct sunlight or ultraviolet light. And yeah, this is limited to just this colour, not the other Green variant shown in the posters.
The company also sheds some light on this light effect. It has apparently done more than 200 trials and errors before getting the right mix of materials and paint viscosity that would let the quick change in colours over time. It says the dual-layer photochromic process would add an organic composite layer for a 40% faster colour shift.
Besides the aesthetics, the Realme 9 Pro+ is also confirmed to bear a Dimensity 920 5G processor and a Sony IMX766 OIS camera. Realme brags this as the first and only phone in the segment with both this sensor and the optical image stabilization facility. It details the 1/1.56-inch sensor will let in about 63.8% more light. And besides these, the microsite also reveals other abilities of this camera setup like AI Noise Reduction 3.0 and Street Photography 2.0.
Realme 9 Pro + Features and SpecsComing back to that processor, it is a 6 nm-based octa-core chipset comprising of two ARM Cortex-A78 running at 2.5GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0GHz speeds. This also employs the Mali-68 GPU for graphics processing.
Now other than this, thanks to leaks, we also know the Realme 9 Pro Plus can feature a Super AMOLED 90Hz display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, 60W SuperDart charging, and NFC. We will share more details about the device with you as we have them. Well, we are just days away from the launch date. So, you may as well mark calendars and set reminders for the event. Again, it is February 16 at 1:30 PM.
