OnePlus is apparently planning to release a lot of phones in 2022 compared to previous years. Take, for instance, the first-gen OnePlus Nord CE had come solo last year, but this time around there will reportedly be two phones from this lineup. This would include there will be the Nord CE’s aptly named successor — OnePlus Nord CE 2 and a watered-down variant called OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. This information comes from the collaboration of Smartprix and leakster, OnLeaks. The report states the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will release later this year with Snapdragon 695 processor and a 64MP camera system. Further, the phone is said to launch in India ahead of other regions.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G: Expected specificationsOne could guess the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be seeing several improvements over the original, but if this report is to be believed, even the ‘Lite’ edition will be sporting some notable upgrades. This could start from the front of the phone itself which is said to sport a 6.59-inch FHD Fluid Display. It is also expected to pack a 16MP selfie snapper too, although the type of cutout for it isn’t clear at the moment. Meanwhile, at the back, you could get a trio comprising a 64MP main shooter and two 2MP sensors.
As already mentioned, the underlying processor would be a Snapdragon 695. This is an octa-core chipset based on a 6nm process with two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 1.7GHz speeds.
Further, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is said to be backed by 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. Internally, the phone will also house a 5000mAh cell with 33W fast charging support.
